Maeba Restaurant in Ariano Irpino occupies an abandoned olive mill about a century old, converted in 2004 by transforming caves into cellars and walls into dining rooms. Since 2021 the venue has only four tables and no à la carte: it offers three tasting menus served in the dark, seasonal Italian cooking led by chef Salvatore Ciccarelli (born 1993, trained at I.I.S. Giuseppe De Gruttola), houses over 500 wine labels plus a 200-bottle rare section and holds one MICHELIN star.
