Piazza del Vescovado 8, 06081 · Assisi
La Locanda del Cardinale is located in Assisi's historic centre, 200 m from the Basilica of Santa Chiara and 100 m from Piazza del Comune, with Mojano parking a five-minute walk away. The restaurant occupies spaces built atop a Roman settlement dated to 75 BC, preserving archaeological finds and semi-basement halls; the noble floor retains 16th-century frescoes and is used for banquets and ceremonies. The menu offers a varied selection of Umbrian specialties and the cellar holds over 1,000 Italian and international labels and vintages.
