Vitantonio Lombardo is led by chef Vitantonio Lombardo and opened in Matera in 2018 inside a cave in the Rione Sassi, with exposed tufa and glass partitions defining the rooms. The cuisine is creative and modern, shaped by the chef’s training with Paolo Teverini, Gianfranco Vissani and Fabio Barbaglini and by his close friendship with Davide Scabin; the grotta room faces the open kitchen, the cava is more private and adjoins the wine cellar.
