Description

The Western Cape Hemelrand Vine 2024 from Alheit Vineyards is a white wine sourced from the Hemelrand vineyard on the Hemel & Aarde Ridge near Hermanus. It is a field blend primarily composed of Roussanne, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Verdelho and a small amount of Muscat Blanc; the exact proportions change between vintages. Winemaking involves whole-bunch pressing, wild fermentation in older barrels and extended lees contact, producing a full-bodied white with lively acidity. Aromas include stone fruit, citrus peel and exotic notes with focused intensity and a long finish.
