Description

Cartology 2023 from Alheit Vineyards is a white wine designated as Wine of Origin Western Cape, conceived to reflect the Cape’s old-vine heritage. The 2023 cuvée is 94% Chenin Blanc and 6% Sémillon, with Chenin parcels drawn from areas such as Skurfberg, Piekenierskloof, Malmesbury, Paardeberg, Bottelary, False Bay and Tygerberg, and the Sémillon from the old La Colline block in Franschhoek. Grapes are hand‑sorted and whole‑bunch pressed, fermented with indigenous yeasts in cement, foudres and old barrels, and the wine was left on lees for about 12 months prior to bottling.
