Description

The “Doran” Alto Adige Chardonnay Riserva 2023 from Cantina Andriano is an alpine Chardonnay produced under the Alto Adige DOC. Grapes are grown at about 350–450 m on calcareous clay soils with dolomite layers; winemaking includes fermentation in tonneaux, malolactic conversion and roughly 12 months’ ageing in tonneaux followed by further time in stainless steel, which provides structure and restrained oak character. It shows an intense straw-yellow color with aromas of exotic fruit, white pepper and light vanilla, and a structured palate with lively acidity and a long finish.
