Description
Au Bon Climat's Bien Nacido Pinot Noir reflects the winery's connection to a historic Santa Maria Valley vineyard established by the Miller brothers in 1973. The winery's production facilities are located on the property, close to the vineyard blocks that supply some of its fruit. For 2022, the producer specifies Pommard-clone Pinot Noir from Block 3, harvested by hand and fermented in small open-top vats with regular punch-downs. Maturation takes place in French oak. The technical sheet describes a medium-bodied red with mixed berries, spicy and herbal nuances, and clearly defined tannins.
