Description
The 2007 Carmen Gran Reserva by Benjamín Romeo (Bodega Contador) is a Rioja Gran Reserva produced from parcels in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, Briones and Labastida. The wine is predominantly Tempranillo with smaller amounts of Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo, aged about 24 months in new French oak followed by extended bottle aging. It combines traditional Rioja character with a modern stylistic approach, showing red fruit, spice and finely integrated tannins.
