Description

Borgo del Tiglio’s Chardonnay combines grapes from Ca’ delle Vallade and the southwestern slopes of Monte Quarin in the Collio. The two sites share similar soils but have different picking dates: Vallade’s microclimate allows a later harvest in cooler conditions. Hand harvesting includes careful bunch selection, with intact grapes brought to the cellar in small crates. Each parcel is vinified separately, using gentle pressing and fermentation in small French oak barrels, some of them new. The final blend is chosen after maturation, through tasting the individual lots.
