Borgo del Tiglio’s Friulano grows from Nicola Manferrari’s personal relationship with the grape once called Tocai and with the land around Brazzano. His work seeks balance in the vineyard, ripe grapes and restrained intervention in the cellar. Gentle pressing, time on the lees and small wooden barrels form part of that approach. In the producer’s description, a subtly bitter undertone accompanies fine, discreet aromas.
