Description

Produced by Elena Walch, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva Vigna “Castel Ringberg” is released as Alto Adige DOC and is made from grapes grown in the Castel Ringberg single-vineyard on limestone soils at about 330–400 m elevation. Winemaking includes alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation and roughly 18 months ageing in French oak barriques. Deep garnet in color, the nose shows black berries and plum with spicy tones of tobacco, clove and a hint of dark chocolate. On the palate it is full-bodied and structured, with pronounced tannins, balanced acidity and a persistent, savory finish.
