Hofstatter’s "Ludwig Barth von Barthenau Vigna Roccolo" is a single-vineyard Pinot Noir from the Vigna Roccolo parcel in Mazon, produced under the Alto Adige DOC. The vines are trained in pergola and date back to 1942, yielding concentrated fruit; vinification includes concrete fermentation and maturation partly in barriques. The bouquet shows Morello cherry and other red-fruit aromas with subtle vanilla and oak undertones; the palate is elegant with vibrant acidity and velvety tannins. Recommended serving temperature 14–16 °C.
