Hipping H.M. is Keller’s Riesling associated with the Hipping vineyard in Nierstein, Rheinhessen. The site occupies an exposed section of the Roter Hang between Nierstein and Nackenheim, above a broad stretch of the Rhine. Its steep slopes face east and southeast and lie between approximately eighty and one hundred and seventy metres in elevation. The ground is characterised by the heavily weathered red, clay-rich rocks of the Rotliegendes. Morning sunlight and proximity to the river contribute to the microclimate of this origin, central to the identity of the cuvée.
