Description

This Chardonnay from Racines is made from grapes sourced at the Wenzlau Family Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills, California. The wine is fermented with native yeasts and matured roughly 11 months in a mix of barrels and puncheons (about 20% new French oak), followed by further tank cellaring—an approach intended to preserve fruit clarity and site expression. It presents bright acidity with citrus and white-flower aromas and a pronounced mineral-saline tension typical of the cool, coastal soils of the appellation.
