Description

The 2016 Schieferkopf Riesling Lieu-dit Fels is a single-vineyard Riesling from the Lieu-dit Fels parcel in Bernardvillé, Alsace. The vines grow on a strip of blue schist, which contributes notable minerality and tension to the wine. Vinification uses native yeasts, complete malolactic fermentation and roughly 15 months' ageing in large oak foudres. The estate’s production has been organically certified since 2014.
