Toe Drûe was founded in the early 1900s in Sestri Ponente, Genova, to serve workers from the Ansaldo shipyards and still keeps the heavy wooden tables that inspired its name. The modern Ligurian kitchen highlights fresh seafood and regional dishes such as cappon magro, homemade pesto, breaded anchovies and fried panissa, with bread, pasta and desserts made in-house. Rebuilt after the 2010 flood and reopened in April 2011, the restaurant is selected by the MICHELIN Guide and offers a wine list ranging from well-known labels to small producers, including by-the-glass options.
