Description

Alain Graillot's Crozes-Hermitage Blanc combines Marsanne and Roussanne grown on the appellation's gravelly ancient alluvial soils. Fermentation and maturation use both stainless steel and barrels, while malolactic fermentation is avoided to preserve acidity. The wine has breadth and texture, with suggestions of honey, white pepper and a lively finish. It is intended to be enjoyed young, when fruit and freshness are prominent. The cuvée expresses the white-wine side of a family estate based in Pont-de-l'Isère, within the northern Rhône wine-growing area.
