Description

Alain Graillot's Crozes-Hermitage Rouge is made solely from Syrah grown on gravelly alluvial soils in the northern Rhône. Vineyard work emphasises soil cultivation and hand harvesting. Fermentation takes place with whole bunches in temperature-controlled concrete vats, followed by maturation in wood. The profile combines body and freshness with aromatic intensity and a structure able to develop over time. The cuvée can also be enjoyed young, when its fruit expression makes the character of Syrah and the wine's vineyard origin readily apparent.
