Description

Alain Graillot's Saint-Joseph Rouge is a Syrah from two parts of the appellation, Saint-Jean-de-Muzols and the hills of Andance. The cuvée extends the estate's work beyond its Crozes-Hermitage vineyards while keeping the northern Rhône's red grape variety central. Harvesting is manual, and vinification uses temperature-controlled concrete vats before maturation in wood. The wine emphasises fruit and has a structure suited to development over time. The different origins of the grapes contribute to its interpretation of the Saint-Joseph landscape and its vineyard sites.
