Description

Domaine Alain Jeanniard Gevrey-Chambertin is a Pinot Noir with a ruby colour that can deepen as it develops. Its youthful profile shows strawberry, blackberry, violet and rose; liquorice, leather and forest-floor notes may appear with maturity. The palate combines body and structure with velvety tannins. Hand harvesting includes careful selection, and winemaking uses a proportion of whole bunches and extended maceration. Oak maturation employs a restrained proportion of new wood, accompanying a wine that is also suited to further development in bottle.
