Domaine Alain Michelot Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru is a Pinot Noir from the Côte de Nuits, grown within the historic walled vineyard between Chambolle-Musigny and Vosne-Romanée. The soils are clay and limestone. Winemaking involves fermentation in open vessels and measured extraction, adapted to the conditions of the vintage. Slow maturation follows in French oak, in contact with the lees, in the family’s cool cellars. The profile combines breadth and tannic structure with a restrained presence of oak and capacity to develop.
