Description

Cuvée Spéciale introduces Fabrice Gass’s work in Damery, in the Vallée de la Marne, through Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier. The small parcels root into chalk, sometimes covered by a thin clay layer. The blend combines the principal harvest with wines from the preceding year; fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts in old barrels, without malolactic conversion. Riddling and disgorgement are performed by hand. The Italian importer’s profile combines red fruit, citrus and a buttery nuance with a creamy yet vibrant palate. A saline finish completes this artisanal expression, keeping maturity and freshness in dialogue.
