Description

Fire By Night is a single-site Chenin Blanc (100% Chenin Blanc) from the Nuwedam vineyard on the Paardeberg in the Swartland. Goblet-trained old vines planted between 1972 and 1985 on decomposed granite deliver concentrated fruit; fermentation occurs naturally in cement, foudres and old barrels, followed by about 12 months on the lees. The wine displays citrus and subtle honey notes, pronounced minerality, bright acidity and a long, focused finish.
