Valdinero Reserva 2018 from Alonso & Pedrajo is a red Rioja DOCa wine made mainly from Tempranillo with a small addition of white grapes (Viura/Macabeo). Billed as a parcel Reserva from the Valdinero site, it undergoes extended oak aging and shows aromas of red fruit, violet and spice with toasted oak nuances. The palate is structured with ripe tannins and good length, suitable for medium-term cellaring. Its profile reflects the Villalba de Rioja origin and the calcareous-clay soils of the vineyard.
