Description

The 2022 Baia al Vento from Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari is a Bolgheri Superiore produced at the Campo al Mare estate in Castagneto Carducci. It shows a deep ruby-purple color with aromas of ripe red fruit — cherry, blackcurrant and blackberry — complemented by balsamic notes of tobacco and chocolate. On the palate it is dry, full-bodied and persistent, with pronounced yet velvety tannins; the wine is matured for about 24 months in barrique.
