Anne et Hervé Sigaut's Les Charrières is a Morey-Saint-Denis Premier Cru made from Pinot Noir. The vineyard lies in the northern part of the appellation, below Clos de la Roche, on a gentle slope with relatively deep soil. Hand harvesting into shallow containers limits bunch compression, followed by sorting, gentle destemming and gravity transfer into vats. Maturation uses oak with a measured proportion of new barrels. The cuvée belongs to a family estate rooted in Chambolle-Musigny, where daily vineyard attention accompanies a low-intervention approach to vinification.
