Description

Les Fournières is an Aloxe-Corton Premier Cru in the northern part of the Côte de Beaune. Antonin Guyon grows Pinot Noir here on clay-limestone soils. The grapes are hand-picked into small crates and sorted at the winery before destemming and vinification in wooden vats, with cap punching and temperature control. Maturation continues in oak barrels on the fine lees. The wine has a dark ruby colour, sour-cherry aromas and a rich, intense palate with integrated oak. Roast meats, dishes served with sauce and game are suggested accompaniments.
