Description

Clos de la Chaume Gaufriot is an Antonin Guyon monopole in Beaune, an approximately 0.77-hectare vineyard owned entirely by the estate. Pinot Noir grows on clay-limestone soils and is harvested by hand into small crates, followed by sorting at the winery. Vinification in wooden vats includes cap punching and temperature control, with subsequent maturation in oak barrels. The wine's character centres on finesse, delicate aromas and a silky texture, accompanied by a ruby colour. Poultry and relatively lightly prepared roast meats are suggested pairings for this Beaune red.
