Description

This Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits Blanc is made from Chardonnay grown at Meuilley, close to Nuits-Saint-Georges. The vines occupy a steep, well-exposed hillside with clay-limestone soils. Hand harvesting into small crates and sorting at the winery are followed by low-temperature fermentation in barrels, with stirring of the lees. Maturation also takes place in oak. The aromatic profile suggests flowers and almonds, while freshness and finesse shape the palate. Warm fish starters are suggested accompaniments, with a serving temperature of around thirteen degrees helping frame the estate's recommended presentation.
