Description

Les Charmes Dessus is Antonin Guyon's Meursault Premier Cru, made from Chardonnay grown on white marl. The vineyard benefits from an easterly aspect in the southern Côte de Beaune. Grapes are harvested by hand into small crates and sorted at the winery. Low-temperature fermentation takes place in barrels with lees stirring, followed by maturation in oak. The wine shows a lightly golden colour and suggestions of honey, with softness and persistence on the palate. Fish served with sauce and poultry in cream are suggested matches for its texture and character.
