Description
Les Fichots is a Pernand-Vergelesses Premier Cru from the Guyon family, north of Beaune between Aloxe-Corton and Savigny-lès-Beaune. Pinot Noir grows on clay-limestone soils. Hand harvesting into small crates and winery sorting precede vinification in wooden vats, with cap punching and controlled temperatures. Maturation continues in oak barrels. The wine shows fresh blackcurrant aromas and a harmonious palate supported by delicate tannins. Grilled and roast meats are suggested food matches, with a serving temperature of around seventeen degrees for this red wine from the Pernand-Vergelesses appellation.
