Description

Sous Frétille is the white Pernand-Vergelesses Premier Cru in Antonin Guyon's range. Its Chardonnay comes from a steep, well-exposed slope with white-marl soils, north of Beaune between Aloxe-Corton and Savigny-lès-Beaune. Hand harvesting into small crates is followed by grape selection at the winery. Low-temperature fermentation and maturation take place in oak barrels, with stirring of the lees. The profile combines floral and almond notes with freshness and finesse. Warm fish starters and white meats with a creamy sauce are suggested accompaniments for this white Burgundy from the hillside above Pernand.
