Description

Les Pucelles is Antonin Guyon's Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru, made from Chardonnay grown on white marl. The vineyard lies south of Beaune, near Meursault. After hand harvesting into small crates and sorting at the winery, the juice ferments at low temperature in oak with lees stirring; maturation also takes place in barrels. A golden colour accompanies white-flower aromas, while the palate brings together freshness, power and depth. Lobster, spiny lobster and grilled sea fish are among the estate's suggested accompaniments for this white wine from the Puligny-Montrachet appellation.
