Description

The Valtellina Superiore Sassella Riserva “Nuova Regina” 2018 from Ar.Pe.Pe is a mountain-grown red made entirely from Chiavennasca (Nebbiolo) from the Sassella subzone at 450–550 m elevation. Labeled as a Riserva, it is produced with extended maceration and long ageing (about 42 months in vats, barrels and cement), which provide notable structure and ageing potential. The wine typically combines ripe red fruit and floral hints with precise tannins and a distinctive mineral backbone from the site.
