Description

Turriga is the Isola dei Nuraghi IGT red through which the Argiolas family set out to express Sardinia using its traditional grape varieties. Developed with Giacomo Tachis and Mariano Murru, the project reached its first harvest in 1988. Its name recalls an ancient Mother Goddess figurine discovered at Turriga and represented on the label. The winery describes a deeply coloured wine with aromatic complexity and substantial yet balanced structure. Suggested food matches include game, spiced red meats and mature Sardinian pecorino, reflecting the wine’s place at a richly flavoured table.
