Description

Arianna Occhipinti’s Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico “Grotte Alte” is a DOCG red from Vittoria made from a blend of Nero d’Avola and Frappato. Sourced from vineyards on limestone ridges at about 280 m elevation, it is fermented with indigenous yeasts, undergoes prolonged maceration and is aged for an extended period in French oak casks. The wine shows a Mediterranean character with a balance of salinity and structural tannins.
