Description

PT – Contrada Pettineo is a single-variety red wine (Frappato) made by Arianna Occhipinti and labelled Terre Siciliane Frappato IGT. Grapes come from the Pettineo single-vineyard — old bush vines averaging about 70 years at 217 m above sea level — cultivated biodynamically with organic certification. Fermentation is carried out in cement with indigenous yeasts and roughly 20 days of skin contact; aging takes place in 20 hl oval cement tanks followed by bottle maturation. The wine shows the typically fresh, light-bodied Frappato profile, with lively acidity and red-fruit character.
