Description

Aristos’s Duque d’A is a red centred on Cabernet Sauvignon from the Andean foothills of Cachapoal in Chile. The south-facing vineyard occupies a terrace of river and glacial origin, with alluvial and colluvial soils rich in stones and clay. Its mountain setting moderates exposure to sunlight and accompanies grape ripening. After destemming, fermentation takes place in small open vessels, with gentle handling and transfers by gravity. Ageing in French barrels includes completion of malolactic fermentation, following an approach seeking depth, freshness and finesse in the expression of this vineyard.
