Paolo Giordano Barolo Perno comes from its namesake area in Monforte d'Alba, where the project developed with Ileana reconnects with her family's winegrowing history. The parcels combine sand and marl, with a clay component in the higher positions. Nebbiolo ferments with indigenous yeasts and undergoes extended maceration before maturation in wood and bottle ageing. The importer highlights depth, structure and elegance. This Barolo places the work of a small estate and the character of Perno at its centre, with cellar timings chosen to respect the material provided by each harvest.
