Description

Philine Isabelle Chardonnay 2023 comes from a small parcel in the Preda geographical mention of Barolo, planted in 1990. The soil contains clay and deep marl over limestone bedrock, with a sandy component. Farming follows biodynamic and regenerative practices. After pressing, the must is allowed to oxidise and settle before fermentation in stainless steel, followed by malolactic conversion. For this harvest, maturation is divided between concrete and a smaller proportion of oak. This white stands alongside Nebbiolo within the producer's project, placing vine health and careful cellar work at the centre of its expression.
