Description
White wine made from Verdelho grapes grown in the São Mateus vineyards on the island of Pico. Spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel and used oak barrels, followed by 15 months of aging on fine lees, provides texture and complexity. The bouquet is intense with smoky and saline notes and citrus hints of grapefruit; on the palate it is fresh, saline and marked by lively acidity and a persistent finish.
