The 2019 Excelsus from Banfi is a red Toscana IGT made at Castello Banfi near Montalcino. It is a Super Tuscan blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, matured roughly 18 months in French oak barriques. Aromas show dark and red fruit with spicy nuances; the palate is structured, tannic and persistent.
