Description

Baron de L is the prestige Pouilly-Fumé selection created by Patrick de Ladoucette, associated with the vineyards of Château du Nozet. Sauvignon Blanc is selected in years considered suitable for the cuvée, using juice from the first pressing. Parcels are handled separately, and gravity guides the grapes and juice through the cellar. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, without barrel ageing. Contact with the lees helps build the wine, while the absence of oak keeps the grape's character central. This interpretation of Pouilly-Fumé seeks breadth and finesse through careful selection and precise winemaking.
