Description

Castello di Brolio 2022 is Barone Ricasoli’s flagship wine, released as a Chianti Classico DOCG Gran Selezione from the Gaiole in Chianti estate. It is produced from a strict selection of Sangiovese grapes grown on parcels adjacent to the castle, planted on three main soil types (Macigno del Chianti, Scaglia Toscana, Monte Morello). Fermentation is in stainless steel with extended skin contact and the wine is aged about 22 months in 500 L tonneaux (30% new French oak) followed by bottle aging; alcohol 14.5%.
