Description

Bastian Wolber's Côte de Nuits Village brings together Pinot Noir from two parcels planted in the 1950s. Aux Vignottes, opposite Clos de la Maréchale, has shallow, clay-rich soil; Aux Fauques, in Comblanchien, contains more limestone and ripens slightly later. The grapes ferment as whole bunches with indigenous yeasts and semi-carbonic maceration. Extraction remains gentle, followed by vertical pressing and maturation in used barrels. The cuvée therefore connects two neighbouring but different expressions of the Côte de Nuits, brought together in a wine bottled without fining or filtration.
