Description

ChĂąteau BĂ©lair-Monange is a Premier Grand Cru ClassĂ© of Saint-Émilion, rooted in the highest part of the limestone plateau and the surrounding slopes. Its vineyard combines the limestone of the central parcels with blue clay on the cĂŽtes, bringing distinct elements into one identity. The Moueix family acquired the property in 2008 and began restoring its vineyards, cellars and underground quarries. Monange honours Anne-AdĂšle Monange, Jean-Pierre Moueix’s mother. The wine reflects the relationship between the plateau’s freshness and precision and the depth associated with the clay slopes, giving it a layered character and a lingering finish.
