Description

The Benanti Contrada Cavaliere Etna Rosso 2023 is an Etna DOC red made from 100% Nerello Mascalese grown in Contrada Cavaliere (Santa Maria di Licodia) at roughly 900 m elevation. Fermentation includes about 21 days of maceration and the wine is matured for approximately 12 months in French oak tonneaux, followed by further ageing in steel and bottle. Aromas are ethereal and spicy with red-fruit notes; the palate is dry, full-bodied, tannic and persistent.
