La Cabaña

Description

La Cabaña is the vineyard where Bendito Destino began, Terry Kandylis’s project in Canalejas de Peñafiel in Ribera del Duero. The small, northeast-facing parcel has sandy and clay soils. Tempranillo grows alongside Garnacha, Valenciano and white varieties including Albillo, Alarije and Pirulés. The grapes are harvested and fermented together, preserving the vineyard’s mixed planting. Spontaneous fermentation, gentle extraction and the use of larger oak vessels characterise an approach centred on old vines and their origin, maintaining the relationship between the wine and the parcel that inspired the project.
