Les Referts lies on the eastern edge of Puligny-Montrachet's vineyards, alongside the boundary with Meursault. Benoît Ente works Chardonnay planted here in 1943 and 1970, giving this small cuvée a distinctive place within his range. The producer's description combines ripe floral character with hints of green apple and a broad, richly textured palate. Its substantial presence is balanced by definition and a sustained finish. Maturation follows the estate's approach of an initial period in barrel or tank, followed by assembly in tank to complete settling and clarification without filtration.
