Description

Le Cran is Bérêche's interpretation of Ludes, built from old-vine Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Les Hautes Plantes and Les Vignes Saint-Jean offer different exposures on soils rich in limestone and chalk. The selection favours the complementary qualities of the parcels and concentrated fruit supported by natural acidity. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts takes place in barrel, followed by extended bottle maturation under cork. Its identity is tied to the tension and chalky imprint of this Premier Cru, providing an interpretation of the village that preserves the individual character of each harvest.
